Sibenah I Digdogs Cooper

ANKC Registered Siberian Husky | Bred by Sibenah Siberians Male | 28.09.2004 - 11.11.16 Some would say "just a dog", and they would be right. But only to a small degree. Cooper was a legend. He didn't care for politics nor shenanigans but his presence in the yard was always felt and respected by dogs and humans alike. He was a quiet guy and a bit of a loner but his dedication to his pack and family was remarkable. He saved Caleb and Carbon from a tiger snake in 2010. Luckily he came out unscathed in that battle. Again in 2011 he protected puppies against a tiger but not before it got him. We nearly lost him that day but in true Cooper form he wasn't going to give up. It aged him, we saw it happen overnight, but it didn't stop him. That was never an option for Coop. His race results were quite remarkable. We lost count of the number of "1st place Siberian" awards he won not to mention his "1st place" overall winnings in open classes. Cooper didn't venture into the veterans class until he was well overdue and even then he continued to give Andrew 100%. He was a give it all dog. A one in a million dog. A break your heart dog. Many will remember Cooper doing the whole one dog course at Grabine by himself. Because he could. No-one could catch him and he certainly wasn't going to stop until he crossed the finished line. It was musher error that day, Cooper never did anything wrong :-) He produced for us and others some wonderful offspring. We have his kids, grandkids, great grandkids and now great great grandkids in our kennel. It is fitting that Cooper chose to say goodbye on Remembrance Day. Yes big fella, we will always remember you. There was never any doubt. Rest easy and wear your silver harness with pride my friend. You deserve it more than you will ever know.
