Ollie, Floofy, Superfloof - our hearts are hurting. 15 years, 3 months and 13 days that we got to share our lives with the beautiful Ollie.
Whelped in WA by Natalie McIllree out of her beautiful Teela and our boy Cooper, Ollie and his monster brothers were the first litter to have the Idigadog name.
Ollie was always the gentle soul. The old man. He would just roll his eyes at the other dogs who got up to mischief. That was not his thing.
Always the professional when in harness, Ollie ran in pretty much every class from 8 dog down to Pee-wee with Caleb. He taught his two legged brother about confidence and teamwork. I never worried when Caleb and Ollie were together out on the trail. I knew they would look after each other.
Yesterday was a hard day. We weren't expecting it so quickly. Caleb has lost his Floofy, the dog that has been by his side for most of his life. The incredible dog that took him from racing as a toddler through to his teenage years.
The retirement home in the house yard is very quiet today. There is no-one barking at us when it's feeding time. No-one staring through the glass door willing us to go outside.
Oscar will miss you very much Ollie. He's never been apart from you and I dare say it won't be long before you are reunited. In the meantime, I hope you found Sully and that you know just how much you were loved and how we will always cherish the time we had with you.
Love you Ollie. You were a very good boy. Rest now.
