TROOPER
NorthWapiti's Storm Trooper (Imp Can)
ANKC Registered Siberian Husky | Bred by Karen RamsteadMale | 23.04.2012
In 2012, we had the pleasure of hosting Iditarod musher Karen Ramstead at our home and kennel. We must have done something right because the seed was planted for us to import a dog from Karen the day she left us to fly back home.
Many months of watching, waiting, vet visits and paperwork finally came to fruition when Trooper left Canada for Australia in November 2013. It was a huge relief to bring him home to Idigadog and really start the bonding process. Eighteen months of waiting had given us plenty to look forward to!
Trooper is everything we hoped for and more. A hard working, easy to keep, confident guy that has not only made a huge contribution to our team but also to our kennel. He has kids, grandkids and now great grandkids.
Troops even tried his hand at some dog showing at the Siberian Husky Club of NSW 50th Championship Show in May 2014 and won his class! In 2023 Trooper moved to the Veteran class and raced with Scout and Caleb. They were an absolutely awesome team with average speeds that were blowing us away. 2024 saw Troops running by himself with Caleb, still in the Veterans class, where he managed to place either first or second in his class. Pretty good for a 12 year old.
